Anxiety

Sunday, October 9th, 2011

Anxiety in all of its forms responds incredibly well to hypnotherapy.

Anxiety, along with making life generally unenjoyable and unpleasant, can cause severe physical symptoms, bring on various real ailments and even attack the immune system. In the extreme, some are so overcome with anxiety that they no longer will leave their house. It has been shown that chronic anxiety can shorten one’s life!

Whether an individual suffers generalized anxiety disorder, from specific present day situational anxiety, vague and uneasy feelings of anxiousness, or an incident or incidents from childhood – hypnosis is the only therapy that will enable an individual to move past these types of anxiety permanently.

This writer is not of the belief that chemical lobotomies (using drugs to mask the symptoms) are called for except in cases where one is experiencing psychotic episodes. Those of course are beyond the scope of this discussion. This writer is not suggesting hypnosis for psychosis, that should be left to another type of therapist that can deal with organic and chemical imbalances with medical chemicals, or a neurological work up to rule out brain tumors.

But most individuals are not dealing with brain tumors and different types of psychological problems. Most that suffer from anxiety find themselves literally crippled in their daily lives including with how they deal with family and friends, their work relationships, worrying about the safety of their family, their finances and the list goes on and on. Some though, are dealing with taking an important exam – the bar, medical boards, sitting for their CPA, SAT, FAA exams including private pilot, sea plane, instrument, or multi engine ratings – utilizing several hypnotherapy sessions is far far more productive than “cramming” for exams and hoping to just pass. Wouldn’t it be nice to “ace” a test rather than just get by?

So if your are debilitated by, or held back by or self sabotaged by any kind of anxiety, call Bob Crow at 404.277.1827 for a complimentary consultation to determine whether you want to move past anxiety through hypnosis.

Irritable Bowel Syndrome – IBS

Sunday, October 9th, 2011

With some victims, the pain is often absolutely excruciating. The cramping can cause them to curl up in a ball on their bedroom floor, their office, in a meeting, maybe even in an airliner, a hotel lobby or a restaurant. It can be so intense that the individual doesn’t care if other people see them or not.

Sufferers are often embarrassed when they need to leave a meeting, an appointment, church, a social function or even a date without wanting to explain their sudden departure when trying to find a rest room. Many are debilitated by having both constipation and dysentery within hours of each other. This makes it extremely difficult to schedule or attend meetings and keep appointments. The fear about when it may next strike makes one dread upcoming events. Some never plan an early morning flight as there is no way predicting for how their intestines and bowels will perform on a given day. Will it be debilitating cramps today or inconvenient dysentery?

These are just some of the presenting symptoms of a disorder known as Irritable Bowel Syndrome or IBS.

Treating this malady with hypnosis has proven to be quite affective and has made it an attractive therapy for many sufferers. The therapy is enjoyable and relaxing without the downside side effects that are part and parcel of many medications. Hypnotherapy uses the healing power of one’s own subconscious mind. Think about it. If you cut your finger, what heals the cut?  Right – your own body. Your body also develops antibodies to fight many infections without any outside help or cues.

There is also a not insignificant serendipity with hypnotherapy. Quite often, migraine or stress headaches either diminish or disappear altogether!  Remember, stress does not make our life happy!

If you have sought treatment for IBS and have not experienced relief, please call Bob Crow at 404.277.1827 for a complimentary consultation.
